Evans was said to have coordinated bank robberies as well as numerous high-profile kidnaps, and was fond of collecting ransoms in dollar.

The billionaire kidnapper was arrested in his mansion in GRA Phase 2 Magodo at Y-crescent zone in the same estate Dr. Adebule lives.
During his parade before newsmen at Lagos State Police Command, Evans said the mode operation of the gangs he led was to abduct their victims on the road or close to where they(victims) live, adding that they don’t go into their victims’ house to kidnap them.
Report said the notorious kidnapper, who was declared wanted since six years ago was somehow a good Samaritan in the estate.
He used generator to supply power to his house twenty-four hour every day, and connected the streetlight of the estate to his house.
Evans’ next neighbour was reportedly a retired naval officer.
