The Makenes family have been throwing into mourning following the killing of their son, Samuel, a National Youth Service Corps member, serving in Nasarawa State, by suspected political thugs.
Samuel, a 2018 Batch A corps member, was stabbed to death last Thursday at the at the Akwanga residence of David Ombugadu, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate and a member representing Akwanga/Nasarawa-Eggon/Wamba constituency in the House of Representatives.
Narrating how it all happened, the deceased’s bereaved father said, “My son was trying to protect the properties of his principal when the incident happened. The sad part is that this is not the first time the boys have been antagonising Samuel. It is the same set of boys that stabbed him to death.
“We have accepted what happened as the will of God and will not take the laws into our hands. Also, I am appealing to our youths not to take the law into their hands even though I know how much they loved Samuel and how painful the incident is to the family.”
