Ogun is one of the three areas the federal government imposed curfew on as one of the measures in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
Others are; Lagos and Abuja with only those on essential services such as medical workers allowed free movement, a category any member of the Dangote Group did not fall into.
It however came as a rude shock that the company’s trucks were given unfettered movement within Ogun State by the government, a letter to the effect, which has gone viral and sparking outrage.
The letter(pictured above) captioned: COVID-19 Lockdown: Exemption of Dangote Trucks, was signed by the Secretary to the state government, Tokunbo Talabi.
