The elderly woman, Hajia Fadimatu Mai Talle Tara, who went out of her way to give financial support to President Muhammadu Buhari when he emerged as All Progressive Congress(APC) presidential candidate, is dead.

Hajia Fadimatu’s death was on Saturday in a statement announced by the Kebbi State government, and her age was put at 95.

The nonagenarian had in January 2015, waited for 9hrs to see the then APC presidential candidate when he was in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital for campaign, to give him N1m to support his presidential ambition.

Buhari’s plea to the her to hold on to her money was turned down. And having been forced to collect it, her kindness brought tears to his eyes.
