Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is reportedly the favourite to land the exalted office of the Deputy Senate President.
The Delta Central Senator who is one of the contenders for the office zoned to the South-south by the ruling All Progressive Congress, according to a source got the backs of the presidency and the party national chairman.
“Omo-Agege has reached out to other critical stakeholders outside the chamber and he now has the full backing of the Presidential Villa and the National Chairman (of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole). The issue is settled. The Deputy Senate presidency has been zoned to the South-South; it is true,” Punchng.com was told by an unnamed source.
