Ondo State House of Assembly has served an impeachment notice on the state Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The Speaker of the House, Hon. Olamide Oladiji who signed the letter, said Aiyedatiwa was served through substituted service.
The House of Assembly had on Wednesday during a plenary session, directed the clerk to write the deputy governor to inform him of allegation of gross misconduct levied against him.
According to Oladiji, “Since Wednesday 20th September, we have been trying our best to see how we can get him served, but we were not able to achieve that, now we have to go through the court.
“We got an affidavit from the court through substituted service, so he has been served through his office. It was received by his secretary.
“Although there are people sending me messages to suppress me, I am not under any pressure. This is a legislative assignment,” he said.
The speaker also alleged that there are threats to his life, informing that some fetish objects were put at the entrance to his official quarters.
