Suspected ‘one chance’ robbers in Abuja have killed a serving police inspector identified as Hussaini Umar.
Late Umar was attached to the Force Intelligence Bureau (FID).
His killing came when he boarded the gang’s vehicle from Maitama Junction in the city centre to his home in Dei-Dei community, FCT, on Friday night.
Report said the deceased officer was stabbed with a dangerous object, and dumped around a bridge, near the NNPC Junction in Kubwa where a moving vehicle ran over him, sealing his fate as a result.
“What followed is that some motorists alerted the police patrol team stationed at the junction to the unfortunate scene who acting on the information visited the location and moved the victim to Kubwa General Hospital where he was certified dead,” sources narrated.
