Selected online journalists were on Tuesday in Lagos took through the intricacies of online journalism at a workshop organised by the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) under the theme, “Stimulating Responsible New Media Journalism: A Pathway to International Recognition’’.
A corporate social responsibility programme by FCMB, the bank gathered leading media practitioners among them award winning journalist and expert in new media journalism, Mr. Inigo Gilmore from the United Kingdom, Dr. Larry Izamoje, Mrs. Adesuwa Onyenokwe and Mr. Martins Oloja (Editor of Guardian newspaper) to speak at the workshop. 
Also in attendance at the FCMB Media Workshop was the bank’s GMD/CEO Mr. Ladi Balogun, who said the bank organised the workshop as part of its contributions towards enhancing the skills and competence of journalists to enable them carry out their job in a more professional manner, which will go a long way to develop the country.
