Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has shared his view of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s sack as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Recall that Lawal was sacked as SGF by President Muhammadu Buhari for financial malfeasance following allegation that he diverted N272m from fund earmarked for Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, to personal use.
The disgraced ex-SGF in an interview with Punchng.com expressed his support for Oshiomhole while the ex-Edo governor was in the saddle of the APC.
However, he added that the former labour leader overreached himself and was in a power tussle with governors.
“But Oshiomhole, to some certain extent, did not give the governors one inch because he was autocratic or a dictator. And the governors who wanted to go back to running the party created a crisis. It got to a point when even those of us who ordinarily supported Oshiomhole later became disappointed because he so messed us up,” he told the paper.
