Embattled National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has returned to the country.
The former Edo governor, who is locked in a battle with some state governors elected on the platform of the party over its primaries and allegedly at the behest of the latter was guest of the Department of State Security Service before leaving the country’s shore for overseas. The governors were said to be pressing for his removal or resignation.
Oshiomhole while away was said to have met with President Muhammadu Buhari alongside Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who he has his back on Thursday.
“The APC chairman is back in the country as scheduled. This is contrary to speculations that he was running away. He has been postponing the trip due to the party primaries and submission of candidates’ names to INEC,” APC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, told Punch.
