Report of being a beneficiary of the alleged sleaze perpetrated by suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, in the form of N4bn gift making the rounds, has drawn the reaction of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

Magu, who is facing investigation over slew of alleged infractions bordering on a whole lot including fraud, was reported to have gifted Osinbajo N4bn from his loot, a claim the Vice-President rubbished via a statement his media aide, Laolu Akande released.

It reads: “Inundated by the wide circulation of Fake News about VP’s purported involvement in some EFCC recovery billions, please rest assured they’re all LIES calculated to confuse and concocted to smear Prof. Osinbajo’s image.

“The VP hasn’t and will never be involved in any such shady activities.”
