Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel, on Sunday put a curse on fraudsters using the just concluded Shiloh, the church’s popular annual programme held at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, to dupe unsuspecting members.
On Saturday while drawing the curtains on the programme, Bishop Oyedepo had highlighted the projects the church is embarking on, among them the construction of a Shiloh city, and an ultra-modern complex to be called Faith Theatre and urged members who have not made donations to the cause to do so in due course.
But fraudsters cashed in on Bishop Oyedepo’s directive, opened a bank account and were reaching out to members through the social media, and directing them to pay into the account for the projects.
Warning members of the church during the Sunday service dedicated to thank God for a successful Shiloh programme, Bishop Oyedepo to be wary of fraudsters posing as him or the church.
He said: “They opened a website from where they collect Shiloh sacrifices. It was tried and it went through.
“Anyone involved in it comes under judgement. Anyone involved in it will not be released from the curse. The judgement of God is released on the health of anyone involved.”
