Olusola Oluokun, Chairman of Oyo East Local Government in viral video half-naked has been suspended.
Oluokun in the video circulating on social media where he was speaking in Yoruba language was filmed half-naked, eating and expressing gratitude to a Senator from the state for helping him to become Council’s boss and pledging never to betray his benefactor.
The act which drew him criticism has cost him his position by way of suspension.
The latter was handed down to Oluokun by Oyo State House of Assembly who viewed his action as indecent and called for investigation into it.
The House went on to establish a committee to investigate the incident, with the Vice Chairman temporarily assuming Oluokun’s duties.
