The Christian community has been thrown into mourning following the death of Pastor Adamson Aromaegbe, founder and senior pastor of The Rock Word Church and Dominion International.
Pastor Adamson Aromaegbe reportedly passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, with the church officially announcing his death two days later in a statement signed by Rev. Nnamdy Echezona on behalf of the church leadership.
The late cleric was remembered by his congregation as a devoted servant of God, a visionary leader, teacher, mentor and kingdom builder whose ministry impacted many lives.
“With hearts full of gratitude to God, The Rock Word Church and Dominion International announce the glorious homegoing of our beloved Founder and Senior Pastor, Dr Adamson Aromaegbe, who transitioned into glory on Friday, 21st August 2026,” the church said.
While grieving his passing, the church said it found comfort in his Christian legacy and the lives he influenced during his years of ministry.
“Though we deeply miss his physical presence, we rejoice in the hope we have in Christ and celebrate a life well lived, a race well run, and a legacy that will continue for generations,” the statement added.
The church vowed to keep pushing forward with the vision and mission established by the late pastor, declaring: “The vision lives on. The Word lives on. The Kingdom advances.”
Aromaegbe was the senior pastor of The Rock Word Church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he led the congregation for several years before his death.
