A pastor with the Living Faith Church, aka Winners’ Chapel was Saturday evening in Cross Rivers State kidnapped while praying with some members of the congregation.
The abductee, Pastor Seyi Adekunle(pictured with his two daughters) is the resident pastor of a parish of the Bishop David Oyedepo led-Winners’ Chapel at IBB Way in Calabar, the Cross Rivers State capital
A graduate of Ibadan Polytechnic, Pastor Adekunle who was posted to the parish last year was in the middle of a prayer session with some members of the congregation in the auditorium when five gunmen stormed the church, shooting sporadically into the air before they cornered the pastor, and whisked him away to an unknown destination. 
His wife, Pastor Mrs. Joke Adekunle(pictured with him right) was said to be at the scene when her Iseyin-born spouse was abducted and has been crying uncontrollably since the incident happened.
OrijoReporter further gathered that the kidnappers have not made contact with the church or the pastor’s family to make demand for ransom.
