Mrs Rita Ajagunigbala, wife of Pastor Joshua Ajagunigbala, who while having sex with popular herbalist, Kehinde Fadayomi, also known as ‘Ejiogbe’ the latter died, has publicly broken her silence.
The covetous lovers holed up at a hotel in Ikere-Ekiti on January 2, 2023 to make love only for Ejiogbe to died in the course.
It also followed that the Incident elicited anger from certain quarters with angry hoodlums attacking Mrs Ajagunigbala’s husband’s African Apostolic Church, located at Ilemimo in the Oke-Osun area and his house.
The couple’s supposed 22-year-old marriage has been dissolved by an Ekiti State Customary Court sitting in Ado Ekiti on nonpayment of dowry grounds.
The President of the Court, Mr Joseph Oyedele while dissolving the union said, “Having gone through all the oral evidence presented before this court, it was discovered that there was no legal customary marriage between parties herein and there is no marriage available between parties to dissolve.
“The court hereby order that the parties are now free to go on their own without disturbing the peace of each other,” Oyedele remarked.
While the Petitioner claimed his wife and the herbalist started dating in 2017, the court session afforded the respondent the opportunity to justify herself.
Her justification paraphrased and contained in the court records read, “She admitted that her relationship with the said man was because of lack of care from the petitioner. She said she had been the one responsible for the feeding of the children and their schools. She said she had incurred so many debts which was offset for her by Ejiogbe.”
