The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Ezza North Local Government Area, Peter Nweke, who was attacked by louts suspected to be All Progressives Congress sympathisers is dead.
Nweke was attacked on Saturday at unit 10, Ogboji Ward, Ezza North LGA during the governorship and state House of Assembly elections.
The fully armed assailants spared nothing in attacking the PDP chairman except their gun leaving him writhing in pain from several wounds, report in general circulation said.
It added that upon the louts fleeing the scene, people who initially took flight during the attack returned to rush the PDP chieftain to the hospital.
The worse happened to him on Sunday as he died from injuries sustained in the attack.
