The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed its governorship primary in Edo without citing any reason for the postponement.
Earlier scheduled for Monday, June 22, the primary is now shifted to the following day, Tuesday June 23, according to a tweet posted by the party spokesman, Kola Ologbodiyan.
The tweet: “@OfficialPDPNG has postponed its primary election in Edo State to June 23.”
However, the postponement is not unconnected to the planned move by Governor Godwin Obaseki to join the party with the view to contest in the primary.
