One of the last batch of released victims of the ill-fated Kaduna-bound train on which several passengers were kidnapped by bandits, Usman Gujus was in receipt of heroic welcome upon his return to his home state, Kebbi.
Gujus, an official of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), arrived at Birnin Kebbi at the weekend to a rousing welcome with several residents lining the streets to greet and have a glimpse of the returnee who rode in an open-roof car where he exchanged pleasantries with them.
The moment was captured by several enthusiasts on camera who afterwards posted it online.
