The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has held on to its position that the military took side with Muslims in Wednesday’s bloodletting in Mangu area of Plateau State.

Not less than 10 persons were killed in the attack with many injured and houses burnt.

Consequently, the CAN Chairman in the area, Timothy Daluk, in a viral video of him said, “I am here to report the situation happening in the Mangu Local Government for the whole world to understand. What is happening in Mangu at this particular point in time, the military are the ones sending our people away for the militia to burn their houses.

“At this particular point in time, they have sent every Christian away from the new market, thereby leaving the Muslims to come and burn their houses.”

In turn the military pushed back at the allegation and summoned Daluk but he shunned the invitation.

Plateau State CAN chairman, Rev Polycarp Lubo, responding to the situation said the body agreed with Daluk.

Lubo stated this in an interview with Punchng saying “As an association, we stand by him (Daluk). He is an adult and he is a leader in Mangu. He knows what he has seen and he said he has evidence. He has reasons why he has said so. So, we can not change what he has said “
