The death of a law student, Ojajuni Ayomiposi, at the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus has come under investigation of the police.
Ayomiposi, an indigene of Ondo State, was found dead after jumping over the school fence, report in circulation said.
The narrative around his death also has it that he was seen on December 6, 2025, at about 11:30 am, on his return to the campus in a tricycle, visibly staggering.
The report added that he jumped over the fence into the hostel premises and was later found by a securityl guard vomiting and unconscious and consequently rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted but later pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
While rumour is rife that he committed suicide because he was barred from doing the bar final examination at the Yola Campus, the police said they have launched an investigation into the death of the 27-year-old.
A statement the command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, released revealed this.
In the communication Nguroje said the state Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, ordered a thorough probe to determine the circumstances surrounding Ayomiposi’s death.
