The State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Lagos, have launched investigation into the death of a female corporal, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver on February 6, 2016.
Corporal Evelyn Ele-Amuta(pictured) died in the line of duty at Ikorodu area of Lagos while directing traffic by a commercial vehicle driver, who flouted traffic rule and was about to be arrested.
The reckless driver struck, and killed the mother-of-one and Federal Government College Minna Alumna while evading arrest.
Police source told our correspondent that a wide search has been launched for the killer driver.
It was gathered that late Corporal Evelyn Ele-Amuta hailed from Kogi State, and was two months pregnant.
