The police have warned the public of receiving explosive-laden hampers as Christmas gifts from unknown persons who may pose as well-wishers in the yuletide period.
The warning was contained in a statement released on Wednesday and signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu.
The police also cautioned members of the public against the use of fireworks and other explosives during the celebration, noting that they could cause distraction that may further heighten fear of insecurity.
