A policeman has been killed in a bank robbery at Onueke, in Ezza South local government area of Ebonyi state on Tuesday.
The victim’s identity was unknown as of the time of this publication.
However, he was attached to the bank.
Report said gunmen were on the trail of a customer of the bank (name withheld) who was there to deposit money.
The incident happened at around 3.00pm.
It was also gathered that after attacking the customer, the robbers also robbed a filling station and some provision stores at the Onueke market.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Border Peace, Stanley Okoroemegha, confirmed the incident.
