A policewoman simply identified as Omolola, has been accused of killing her housemaid, Tomiwa Ajayi, in Oyo State.
The accusers are mother of the deceased, Yemisi Jimoh and her sister’s-in-law, Kehinde Ojo. The former lives in Ogun State and had Tomiwa in a previous marriage.
It was said she gave the 14-year-old to Kehinde who lives in Ibadan on the premise that Omolola, also based in the Oyo State capital needed a house-help.
The mother’s request, according to Punchng citing her, was not transactional but that Omolola should either enroll her daughter in school or as an apprentice tailor.
The unthinkable happened less than ten months when Tomiwa started living with her boss. She was returned dead allegedly with scars on her body to the anger of the family of the deceased who are alleging foul play.
“Since February 2022 when my daughter left my house, it was her brutalised corpse that I received last Friday from Omolola, whom I have not met but through my sister-in-law.
“Some days before then, my heart went to my daughter and when I called to speak with her through Ojo, Omolara’s number was either switched off or busy,” the grieving mother told the publication.
