A popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abeebullah Adam Al-Ilory, has imputed evil machinations against him to some nameless persons.
Al-Ilory, the Rector of Markaz Arabic and Islamic Training Centre, Agege, Lagos, raised this alarm on Saturday during the daily Ramadhan lecture at the school premises.
Mudeer as his also known, had suffered ill-health last year.
At this juncture, speaking in Yoruba language, the renowned cleric said his adversaries laid black magic on his path to the mosque entrance last Monday to cause him harm, consequently laying curse on the perpetrators.
He also enlisted the cooperation of the congregation.
According to him, “My path to the mosque was laced with ‘akadi’ (sorcery) at the entrance. Remember i said I would cast spell on some people. Is now time; henceforth, students and teachers are to read Suratul Tawbah. Whosoever did that in this premises, may God fight him. I never contested this office with anyone, so my protection is in God’s hands.”
