A final year Physiology student of the Delta State University, Abraka, Precious Omordia, has drowned while swimming in Ethiope river.
Omordia’s death occurred on Saturday, February 1, around 1:30 pm in the presence of three of his friends, who went swimming with him but fled the scene in fear of being held on account of alleged complicit in the tragedy.

His demise has been followed by an outpouring of tributes on Facebook by his friends with one of them, by the name, Youngpresh Iduh, in a post accompanied by pictures of the deceased, wrote: “It is a sad new as I lost my best friend and my childhood friend from js1 to ss3 and my fellow final year student of Delta State University from dept of physiology from the faculty of BMS, who went to ethiope river to swim and got drown, ????????????????????????????????????????Good night my calvarian classmate of 2015 set
