The presidency is considering giving each member of the victorious Golden Eaglets N150,000 after turning down N750,000 that was proposed by the Sports Ministry.
According to africanFootball.com, the Federal government rejected an initial proposal by the sports ministry to reward the Eaglets after the team won a fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile last month.
“The proposal has been reviewed after the first rejection. We wait for the green light from the Presidency on the date for the reception and the reward,” a sports ministry official told africanFootball.com.
