The elderly woman, Hajia Fadimatu Mai Talle Tara who went out of her way to give financial support to President Muhammadu Buhari when he emerged as All Progressive Congress(APC) presidential candidate was one of the special guests at the presidential inauguration at the Eagle Square.
The nonagenarian had in January 2015, waited for 9hrs to see the APC presidential candidate when he went to Birnin Kebbi, capital of Kebbi State for campaign, and gave him M1m to support his ambition.
Buhari’s plea to the 90-year-old to hold on to her money was turned down. And having been forced to collect it, Hajia Tara’s kindness brought tears to his eyes.
The new president chose the occasion of his inauguration to honour the nonagenarian when he seated her among the VIPs during his inauguration at the Eagle Square.
