Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Mathew, the man who accused Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila of corruption and N600m bribe has cried out over his safety.

Recall that Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Mathew accused of collecting N400m bribe from him in order to be appointed as Director-General of controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC).

The Gbajabiamila accuser also said the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu also demanded another N200m in bribery and wanted 48 percent of the take-off grant of the controversial council.

In turn, the Presidency denied the existence of PEAC despite the allocation of N1.3 billion in the 2026 budget to it, absolved Gbajabiamila of complicity while the police has charged Adeyemi with forging his appointment letter, among other criminal allegations.

Embattled Adeyemi in an interview with Premium Times in which he accused the federal government of deflecting the issue, said that his life is under threat.

“You know the government we have. They are just playing a defence mechanism to shut me up. My organisation was set up in 2024.

“They are now after my life. I have gone into hiding. I’m underground,” he said.

Before he added: “I don’t consider myself safe.”
