A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Department of State Security Services (DSS) to produce 12 associates of the Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho kept in custody.

The DSS arrested the detainees on July 12 when its officers raided Igboho’s Ibadan residence during which they killed two other occupants as the separatist leader escaped apprehension only for the long arm of law to catch up with him in Cotonou in Benin Republic on Monday night.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu on Friday ordered the secret police to produce them(detained Igboho’s associates) in court on or before next Thursday.

Justice Egwuatu gave the order in his ruling on an ex-parte application argued by lawyer to the detainees, Pelumi Olajengbesi.

The detainees are: Abdullateef Ofeyagbe, Amuda Babatunde (alias Lady K), Tajudeen Erinoyen, Diekola Ademola, Abideen Shittu, Jamiu Noah, Ayobami Donald, Adelabe Usman, Oluwapelumi Kunle, Raji Kazeem, Taiwo Opeyemi and Bamidele Sunday.

The judge directed the DSS to produce them in court on the next date to enable the court inquire into the circumstances leading to their arrest and continued detention.

He then adjourned to July 29.
