The Returning Officer of Gboko Local Government Area, Prof T. Dooshima in Saturday’s governorship rerun election has been shot.

Prof. Dooshima, a female professor was shot on Saturday with his condition shrouded in secrecy by those familiar with his situation as of press time.

However, one   Mr Issac  Utom in whose presence the attack unfounded told newsmen that the professor was in a vehicle marked  FG 273 UO1 with two persons including a driver and an electoral officer when he was shot.

Utom added that Dooshima was rushed to the hospital while the incident was reported at the headquarters of the Independent Electoral Commission in the state and the state police command.
