Deputy vice-chancellor of Fountain University, Osogbo, Prof. AbdulHakeem Mobolaji and his son, have died in an auto-crash on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Prof. Mobolaji was a professor of economics, and an Islamic banking expert. He died on Sunday with his 14-year-old son, Muhammed Mobolaji when a commercial bus rammed into the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) he was driving.
Two others who were in the car, his second son, Abdul-Hafiz and his lawyer friend, Abdul-Rasheed Attah, survived the accident which occurred on Sunday evening.
A revered Muslim scholar, late Prof AbdulHakeem Mobolaji and his son were buried on Monday according to Islamic rites at Akinyele Local Government Area in Ibadan, Oyo State.
