Civil servants in Jigawa State will during the duration of the ongoing Ramadan Fasting resume work at 9.00am and close at 3.00pm, the state government announced in a statement it released on Saturday.
Hitherto, the workers report at work at 9.00am and close at 5.00pm.
The two-hour shortfall according to the statement signed by Malam Isma’il Ibrahim, the Public Relations Officer, Office of the State Head of the Civil Service, was to enable Muslims faithful in the employ of the state government use the Ramadan to pray for God’s guidance and blessings for the state.
Ibrahim added that the workers would report to work on Friday by 9.a.m. and close by 1p.m., instead of the usual 3 p.m
