Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, on Thursday announced its dismissal of four lecturers hitherto in its employ for improprieties bordering on fraud, sexual harassment of female students, shirking duty, insubordination, falsification of records, disobedience to lawful order and diversion of TETFUND training grant.
“Some offences of the dismissed lecturers (Mr. Ipinmoroti Samuel Adejoro and Mrs. Adegoke Kehinde Vivian), include, disobedience to lawful order, falsification of document to obtain training grant and diversion of the said training grant to the tune of 22,676,500.00 and 21,204,000.00 respectively,” a part of the statement the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Uredo Omale released read.
The list also includes; Mrs. Slyvester Ojone Blessing sacked for absconding from duty from 5th January, 2020 to 31st July, 2022.
That of Mr. Abutu Thompson Okolo(pictured above) of Department of Language and Communication, who was shown the door on grounds of sexually harrassing female students, is setting tongues wagging on the institution’s students’ Facebook group.
The list of the sacked lecturers accompanied by Abutu’s picture posted on the platform elicited comments centred on the randy lecturer from both students and alumni with many stating that it served him right.

Fred Ojonugwa Kabir: “Mr Thomson why na?? He was almost thrown down from R2 in 2015 by some angry boys whose sister he kept giving carry over because she denied him sex. Now karma has cought up with him…..haba mana.must this lecturers shine every congo on campus??.”

Soft speaking man, liguistically good and hopeful to go fact professionally if he had self control but he is proud, always making eye contact with ladies in the class and harrassing them when they try not to give in. The most amazing thing is that he a church/Christian singing and hiding under this to commit his elicit act. I know a day like this will come.
