The House of Representatives on Thursday said at their next sitting every member should be in black in honour of rape victims.
The issue of rape has been a recurring theme in the country so much so that cases of fathers abusing their daughters even minor is a dime a dozen.
It formed part of security issues deliberated upon by the lawmakers at the plenary.
Hon. James Faleke, representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in his contribution recommended castration for rape offenders, a recommendation that didn’t gain traction with any of his colleagues.
However, they were all on the same page to honour victims of sexual violence Tuesday’s next week at the next sitting by being in black.
