The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has played down on the rate of abductions in Abuja saying the matter has been over reported.
Wike remarked this in a video of him shared on the X platform.
In the video which was later deleted ostensibly because it outraged the public with insults threw at the minister, the latter equally accused politicians of making a mountain out of a molehill with regard the abduction situation in order to discredit him.
His word, “Some politicians are bent on making sure the government does not survive. And how do you do it? By creating unnecessary tension, carrying propaganda that something just happened here, they tell you it has happened 25 times. You must understand how our system works. They are those who are blackmailers, who are paid.”
The deleted video was originally shared by a platform, Symfoni News, on its YouTube handle.
