One hundred civil servants in the employ of the Lagos State government have become proud owners of new cars – courtesy Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The latter gifted them the cars as part of his administration’s welfare programmes for the state employees.

Beneficiaries were drawn from Directors on grade level 17 across all the ministry including: education and health, and they emerged through a random e-ballot system, according to Sanwo-Olu on Saturday.

The governor spoke about the welfare programme in a tweet on his handle, accompanied by a photo of the cars.

He wrote: “In keeping to our promise of prioritising the welfare of our staff in the Lagos State civil service, we gave out 100 vehicles to Directors on grade level 17 through an e-ballot system.

“While 40 of the vehicles were given to Grade Level 17 Directors in the teaching sector, 30 vehicles each were allocated to the health and mainstream sectors of the public service respectively.”
