Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri said Victor Moses must improve his game to earn a starting berth in the team.

Under Antonio Conte, Moses was a regular in the team playing as a wing-back.

But the new manager Sarri bucked the trend as the Nigerian international is yet to start a game for the Blues this season and failed to make the match day squad for last Sunday’s 2-1 away win against Newcastle United at the St James’ Park.

“But because he changed the position on the pitch… last season he played (at right wing-back), and now we want him to play like a winger,” Sarri told reporters on Friday.

“We changed the position and, in the new position, he needs to improve. But it’s only a question of time, I think.”
