A student of Government Day Secondary School, Katsina State, Ahmed Abubakar, has been arrested on allegation of killing his colleague, Mikailu Mustapha, over a girlfriend.
Abubakar, an 18-year-old, according to the police, attacked Mustapha during a disagreement they both had because of matters of the heart culminating in the latter’s death.
The accused was arraigned before Magistrate Hajiya Fadile Dikko of Katsina Magistrates’ Court for culpable homicide under Section 221 of the Penal Code on Thursday.
Dikko adjourned the matter till June 11 and remanded the accused in prison custody.
