A married man, Segun Oluwole, is in the custody of the police in Ogun State where he lives in Ope Ilu area for allegedly killing his lover’s father, Alhaji Mukaila Afolabi.

Oluwole, 46, and his girlfriend, Nafisat, who is unmarried with kids, reportedly struck up an amorous relationship less than two year ago but their affair withered in recent time allegedly because he was always beating her.
Punch reports that the crisis between them took a turn for the worse on Sunday when Nafisat, a tailor, saw a small pot of fetish concoction in front of her shop on Olaoluwa Street, and alerted her father, Alhaji Afolabi, and siblings to it, who all gathered at her shop and like her, believed the pot was placed there by Oluwole.
The report said the suspect was driving by in his car, when Alhaji Afolabi allegedly flagged him down, asked him to disembark to remove the concoction.
It said Oluwole pulled over but refused to alight from the car and was about zooming off when the deceased jumped into his car.
“My father was still halfway into the car when he zoomed off, taking my father – who hanged halfway in and halfway out– with him. I took a motorcycle and traced them to the Jafar area, where he stopped. By that time, my father was already breathing heavily as a result of the danger he had exposed him to. He was hypertensive.
“Eventually, the man returned to the shop with my father and removed the fetish concoction. We wanted to beat him up, but my father cautioned us. He suddenly slumped and went into a coma. We rushed him to a hospital where a doctor told us that the trouble he experienced had worsened his health condition. He did not survive it,” a son to the deceased told the paper.
However, the suspect reportedly denied claims that he killed his lover’s father.
