The Senator representing Ekiti Central, Opeyemi Bamidele, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to you his good office in securing the release of Senator Ike Ekweremadu (PDP Enugu) from the United Kingdom (UK) prison.
Opeyemi urged this, in his remark at the valedictory session for the outgoing senators of the Ninth Senate.
The Senator, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, noted that no parent is beyond being in Ekweremadu’s shoes.
He urged Tinubu to deploy diplomatic shuttle to ensure the convicted Senator’s release, saying in his word, “My heart goes to that gentleman distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu.”
