Protesting Shi’ite members and armed policemen including soldiers, again clashed on Tuesday in Abuja.

According to reports, the incident happened at Banex, in Wuse 2 and erupted when Shi’ite members started stoning the security operatives who responded with tear gas.

Many vehicles were said to have been vandalized during the clash with business owners locking up their facilities.

Stones and other objects littered the scene of the clash as the area looked deserted.

Pedestrians around the area were forced to raise their hands in the air by the stern-looking policemen.
