Former Senator, Dino Melaye said Nigeria is in danger of extinction calling for caution on the part of the federal government.
Melaye made this remark on the back of the ethnic tension between the southwest and the north borne out of the order by Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu to herders to vacate the Ondo forest reserve and a Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho’s issuance of ultimatum to herdsmen in Ibarapa, Oyo State to vacate over incessant killings.
Weighing in on the matter, the former Senator said, “Federal Government must treat the issue of the South West with utmost caution. It is not a time to how bravado or strength.
“A wrong move may end Nigeria. This Government is not popular enough to fight now.”
