The Lagos State Police Command is now conducting an investigation into the death of Tagbo, a friend of Davido whose death last weekend has generated controversy.

A foul play was suspected in the death of Tagbo as former actress Caroline Danjuma in a post on her Instagram, which she later deleted, accused Davido and his crew of having a hand in it.
She wrote: “Davido where is Tagbo …. he was with you and ur crew last night … you all wore face cap to hide your identities after he died in ur car.. u dumped him at general hospital and ran away … the law must play its role this time .. you all better provide Tagbo alive .. @davidoofficial.
“After you all abandoned him at general hospital you continued you stupid grooving at DNA and had the nerves to promote ur show .. this ain’t no ordinary boy you can intimidate his family … we need you to tell us how he died in ur car and why u ran away.. the police and the hospital confirmed u all ran away .. if u think ur money can save u , u just met ur match . Promise.”
Subsequently, the singer denied Danjuma’s claim, saying he last saw Late Togba at a birthday party at Shisha lounge hours before he received the news of his death.
To unravel the circumstances surrounding Tagbo’s death, the police have commenced investigation into it. It was further gathered that Late
Tagbo’s girlfriend reportedly told police that Davido was responsible for the deceased’s death.
And on Thursday, the popular singer was guest of the Acting Commissioner of Police in the state, Edgar Imohimi, and was quizzed over the death.
Report said the result of an autopsy conducted on the remains of the deceased is being expected, and would determine the next line of action, and whether charges will be pressed or not.
