Players of Glo Premiership side, Taraba FC, on Tuesday continued their protest against the non-payment of their salaries in the last 12 months and spent the night outside the gate of the government house in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba.
Last week the players picketed the Government House but after government officials promised to pay them four-month salaries by last Friday they called off the protest.
But following the officials’ failure to keep their words, the players returned on Tuesday, and despite chilling harmattan spent the night outside the Government House Gate in the freezing cold, insisting that Governor Darius Ishaku must address them.
Usman Muhammed who was an integral part of the victorious under 23 national team plays for Taraba FC.
