Udeme Stephen, a primary school teacher who threatened to kill Labour Party presidential candidate in 2023 Peter Obi and claimed involvement in Tuesday’s attack on Obi and other chieftains of the African Democratic, Congress, ADC, in Edo State has been arrested.
Orijoreporter recalls that ADC accused Edo governor Monday Okpebholo of masterminding the attack, an allegation the latter dismissed.
However, Stephen, a teacher with Jessica High School in Eliozu, Obio-Akpor LGA of Rivers State took responsibility.
“Lcky to have survived the Benin attack and warned that he would not be spared in future visits, including a planned trip to Rivers state.
“We warned Obi against his entrance into Edo State but he mistook our resolves to obidiots online noise. Thank his stars he survived this one.
“I learnt he’s going to my Rivers State. No wahala. Na my MEN go handle that one and dem no dey miss target,” the 26-year-old posted on his X handle, @stevetom788 where he also wrote: “Speak no peace to a bastard and wish him no long life, for he’s destined to die one.”
His arrest has however been made by the Department of State Services whose covert investigation, using forensic tools to track the suspect paid off.
