Three separatists agitating for the secession of Southwest from Nigeria have been arrested in Osun State.
According to a statement the State Police Command spokesperson, Oluwafemi Fagbuyi released, the separatists were arrested at Obada Market in Ikire area of State while calling on people to support the agitation for a Yoruba Nation.
“The case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department after preliminary investigation. Through diligent investigation, Joy Faseyiku, ‘F’, 63 years and Alabede Janet, ‘F’, 64 years were arrested in Osogbo and Ikire town respectively in connection with the crime. Investigation has been concluded and the suspects have been charged to Federal High Court accordingly,” Fagbuyi remarked.
