The crises rocking major opposition parties such as Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party and the New Nigeria People’s Party have been laid at the doorstep of President Bola Tinubu.
The trio are in one form of internal crisis or another threatening them to their foundations.
In the same vein as Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, former governor of Jigawa State, and a chieftain of PDP, Sule Lamido, in an interview with The Sun, said the President is the architect of the infighting opposition parties are experiencing.
“You see, there is nothing like APC as a political party. What you have there is Tinubu, the emperor hiring people from other political parties for his own interests. That is all. So, when you talk about the troubles in PDP, the truth is that those who are now fighting PDP or are causing trouble in the PDP are working for Tinubu.Tinubu knows what he wants.
“He is willing to either pay or give the required support or give the incentive for you to work for him irrespective of which political party you belong to. The people working for him are either willingly or unwillingly being used by Tinubu to weaken the other political parties.
“It doesn’t matter from where you are coming from as long as he, Tinubu, will use you to get to his selfish goals. And this is a factor in all of these disputes that are raging in all other opposing political parties, in all the parties that are opposing the APC,” Lamido told the publication.
