President Bola Tinubu has talked of his plans against one of the monsters steering Nigeria away from development: corruption.
The President made the revelation at a meeting with Microsoft Founder and philanthropist, Bill Gates, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Special Meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, yesterday.
This, is according to Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
The latter recounting what went down at the meeting, said his principal stated that his administration has turned to technology in a bid to check corruption.
Ngelale quoted him as saying, “Technology is the enemy of fraud, corruption, and irregularity. We have been working hard on improving technology.
“There is always the initial resistance. Corruption, self-interest, and fraudulent activity will always be an enemy, but when you bend that curve, you will receive the benefit. The nation will receive the benefit.”
